CLEARWATER, Fla. — Organizers of the Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival are paying tribute to the Notre Dame Cathedral that was badly damaged by fire earlier this week.

A sculpture of the cathedral is now on display at the festival in Clearwater.

Built in the 12th and 13th centuries, Notre Dame is perhaps the most famous of the gothic cathedrals of the Middle Ages.

Two-thirds of the cathedral's roof was destroyed in Monday's fire, and one firefighter was seriously injured. The interior of the cathedral was gutted.

The Sugar Sand Festival ends April 28.
