Starting in October, employees who don’t want the vaccine will have to submit a weekly test and have to wear a mask at work.
Unvaccinated employees can also submit proof of COVID-19 antibodies on a monthly basis without the weekly testing.
Last week, Hillsborough County had around 1,000 employees test positive for COVID-19, but more than 2,000 were quarantined.
The county has already required workers hired after August 30 to be fully vaccinated.
