PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — The body of a missing South Tampa woman was found over the weekend in a rural area of Pasco County.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, a body found on March 24 has been identified as 27-year-old Teneisha Griffith. The body was found in the area of Clay Sink Road and State Road 575 in Lacoochee.

The youngest of four sisters and mother of one was originally reported missing last week.

Griffith was last heard from on the evening of March 19, and her car, a white 2008 Nissan Altima with Florida tag QSBE04, has not been found.

Griffith’s sister confirmed the death through a Facebook post, describing Teneisha as charismatic, funny and truly one of kind.

She also thanks the people of Tampa who came to help. The post shared well over 100 times.

Now, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office has taken over this investigation and they're asking for any information anyone may have about what happened to Griffith or how she ended up in the Lacoochee area.
