PLANT CITY, Fla. — Sir Henry’s Haunted Trail is set on nine acres just off I-4 in Plant City.

It’s part haunted walking trails and part carnival of creepy delights, open on weekends through Halloween.

What You Need To Know

  • Sir Henry's Haunted Trail is a Halloween attraction in Plant City

  • It has walking trails, laser tag, ax throwing, escape rooms and more

  • It is open on weekends through Halloween

“We also have laser tag out here, ax throwing and two new escape rooms,” said Zack Glaros, a creator of the attraction.

Nine seasons in — the trails have expanded their scenes of fear.

Guests will see new, animatronics on the trails come to life.

“We got Calvin up here working on our angler fish,” said Glaros, “gesturing up to his show manager, standing on a table. “It’s motion-activated, so when they walk by it comes down.”

“It’s a dual-piston system on an arm that moves up and down,” explained show manager Calvin Hogan.

He helped create the animatronics- he went online to learn how at “YouTube University.”

Hogan’s been adding his creepiness to this place for more than six years.

“All this is learning- doing it over and over again and kind of figuring it out on your own,” Hogan said.

“So this is our brand new church scene for 2022,” Glaros said, breezing into a dark chapel of shrouded and haunched, slightly larger-than-life statues, dim candles and a church organ.

For Glaros, it’s gone beyond any one scene or season.

“It’s not so much scaring people for me anymore,” Glaros said. “Now it’s having the vision and bringing the vision to life.”

The vision of a Nightmare King.
