TAMPA, Fla. — Mayor Jane Castor easily won reelection to her second term Tuesday.

Castor beat out Republican write-in Belinda Noah. She earned 22,906 votes with 97% of precincts reporting late Tuesday.

Meanwhile, just two of the city council seat races were settled. The four of the other city council races are headed to runoffs. 

Also, residents voted on four city charter amendments.

Changes to the appointment procedures for department heads passed easily, as did term limits on city council members and shortening the length of time between charter reviews. 

Voters shot down an attempt to give the council power to create city boards.
