And everyone’s invited.

“The royalty of it, the prestige of it – you get to dress up,” said Sharon Young of Barbara’s Kitchen.

Also, Young is celebrating her new business space along with her partner, Dwight Hudgins, the Dreaded Fisherman.

It’s a dream years in the making.

We first met Hudgens and Young in the spring of 2022 for a Chef’s Kitchen story, as owners of the Dreaded Fisherman and Barbara’s Kitchen.

They fished for dinner, cooked on the shore and created a picnic that looked like full-on Instagram backdrop.

And tasted even better.

Fast forward a year — and we find the couple in their new space off Starkey Road in Largo.

Beyond the new tea line, homemade jams, jellies, salsa, and spices, they are charcuterie connoisseurs.

They teach classes and even making the boards they serve on.

One of the charcuterie board lessons Hudgins teaches is how to make a salami rose.

He does by layering salami slices on a champagne flute.

“When we finish making them, they see what they have created – they say ‘I can’t wait for my next party to show what they learned,’” said Hudgins.

And a miniature skewer from Young is her favorite treat.

“First of all, it’s creative – you can put so many things that go together on a skewer, and it adds color depth height too.”

A new dimension — just like the new space hard fought to create.

“It took a lot of work- a lot of sleepless nights,” said Young.  “But it’s amazing to have a space where we can be creative and teach people what we do. We are very passionate about what we do so I am elated.”
