ORLANDO, Fla. -- He's a legend from 1960s pop music fame, and now he's part of the Garden Rocks Concert Series at Epcot.

Spectrum News Entertainment Reporter Allison Walker Torres recently caught up with Peter Noone, the frontman of English band Herman's Hermits, known for hits such as "I'm Into Something Good" and "Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter."

Allison Walker Torres: (As she and Noone look over the crowd) "The 'Noonatics' are going crazy and with your selfies. I love how you selfie it up."

Peter Noone: "I love it. You know, because people are sick of seeing my face. So what I do is just take the top of my head, otherwise it would just be me and my fat face."

AWT: "What's curious, too, is you consider yourself, your band, a group of entertainers vs. a group of musicians. Is that right? It sounds weird to me, because you're rock star musicians to us."

PN: "It's a good point, because we decided early on -- and it's actually a quote from John Lennon -- and John Lennon said, 'You don't have to worry about them because they're just trying to impress other musicians.' There's all these people who forget about their audience and try to, you know, do 10-minute guitar solos. None of it works."

AWT: "You know what's funny, though, Peter: Looking back in history at the oddities, like you singing "Mother In law" at age 14 or 15. But that worked. ... You got what you had to do."

PN: "So we found all of these, like 'Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter' and 'Henry VIII' ... These were songs nobody else did."

The Garden Rocks Concert Series is part of the 2018 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. Previous acts this year include Night Ranger, Survivor, Smash Mouth and Rick Springfield.

Concerts continue at the America Gardens Theatre at World Showcase with The Guess Who, now through Monday, May 21. Then members of the band The Spinners perform May 25-28. Concerts are free with park admission.
