The Santa Fe Catholic Hawks weren't happy just to be back in the state semis for the first time since 2006.

They wanted to extend their stay at jetBlue Park. The Hawks did just that with a 3-1 win over John Carroll in the Class 3A State Baseball semifinals.

Santa Fe Catholic will play Canterbury for the 3A title LIVE on BHSN (Channel 47/HD 1147) Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

The game was scoreless until the top of the third when senior Mario Presutti's RBI double scores the first run and gives John Carroll a 1-0 lead.

The Hawks respond in the bottom of the third, when UCF commit Zach Scott drills a double off the green monster. That was the spark Santa Fe needed.

With bases loaded, a wild pitch scores one run for the Hawks.

Then Patrick Hicks two-run single to left put Santa Fe Catholic up 3-1.

That was all the Hawks needed. Santa Fe Catholic will play for the program's second title (they won in 1995).
