POINCIANA, Fla. — Troopers are looking for a driver that ran from a crash, leaving a 26-year-old woman for dead, early Sunday morning.

The crash happened at about 3:30 a.m. in a suburban neighborhood of Poinciana.
According to troopers, a male was driving a 2019 white Toyota SUV northbound on San Lorenzo Road when, for some reason, the SUV left the street, struck a sign, and then crashed into a tree.
The driver then jumped out of the SUV and ran off, leaving his passenger. The 26-year-old woman, from Webster, Florida, died in the vehicle. She was wearing a seat belt, FHP said.
The FHP does not currently have a description of the driver, who was still at large Sunday night.
Charges are pending against him in the crash.
