Fresh off a climactic ending to the Democratic National Convention Thursday night, President Barack Obama arrived at St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport Friday evening for a campaign stop at St. Pete College's Seminole Campus on Saturday.

Obama campaigned in New Hampshire and Iowa on Friday, but will campaign in St. Petersburg, Kissimmee, Melbourne and West Palm Beach over the weekend.

Due to Obama's visit to the Seminole campus, 113th Street North from 86th Avenue to 102nd Avenue will be closed from approximately 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

As reported first on Florida Decides on Thursday night, former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist will campaign with Obama at his event Saturday morning at St. Pete College's Seminole Campus.

Former President Bill Clinton is also expected to campaign in Florida next week.

After the Republican National Convention, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan held a rally and left on a private plane from Lakeland-Linder Regional Airport. They also campaigned in Jacksonville days later.
