PORT RICHEY, Fla. — The Port Richey City Council is meeting Tuesday night to discuss how to move forward after the mayor was arrested last week.

Former Mayor Dale Massad was arrested on February 21 after firing shots at Pasco County deputies while they attempted to serve a warrant. Massad is also accused of operating without a medical license.

The former mayor faces a number of charges.

This is the first time the city council is meeting since Massad's arrest.

There's no doubt the council will be looking to fill the vacant seat.

Bay News 9 will have a crew at the meeting tonight.
