PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — A man who escaped custody from Pinellas County Sheriff's Office deputies Monday despite being partially handcuffed has been found, according to officials.

Authorities said Kenneth Emery ran away from deputies after they stopped him near Seminole Boulevard and Ulmerton Road. Investigators said Emery, 40, had an outstanding warrant for petit theft.

Officials said Emery still had a handcuff attached to his left wrist when he escaped authorities.

He was last seen northbound on Seminole Boulevard.

Authorities have been searching for Emery with deputies, a K9 unit and by air.

He is facing several additional charges, including escape, being a felon in possession of a firearm, drug paraphernalia, possession of fentanyl and trafficking in fentanyl, among others.

Emery was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon.
