Former Largo running back and UCF standout Brynn Harvey will get his shot in the pros this weekend.

Harvey, along with 18 other players, were invited to this weekend's Jacksonville Jaguars rookie mini-camp on a workout basis. Harvey announced his decision over Facebook on Wednesday, and the team officially announced the move Thursday.

The Tampa-Bay product attended Largo, and was a star for the Packers from 2004-2008 under head coach Rick Rodriguez. Harvey rushed for 2,567 yards as a senior, a Pinellas County single-season record, and scored 31 times. As a junior, he rushed for 1,700-plus yards.

As a Knight, Harvey finished ranked in the top-10 in school history in carries with 571. He amassed 2,451 yards and 20 touchdowns in his career. Harvey's breakout season came as a sophomore, when he rushed for 1,109 yards and 14 touchdowns.
