Emmy-nominated Reporter Dave Jordan joined Spectrum Bay News 9 in 2018 as a general assignment and investigative reporter based out of Hillsborough County.

Dave has reported for stations across the country including Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Oklahoma, South Carolina. His series of reports on potentially dangerous guardrails in South Carolina earned him a regional RTNDA award.

Additionally, Dave's coverage of a scuffle between two first responders and attempts by the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety to suppress video of the altercation led to the suspension of a state trooper and a change in state law, allowing the inclusion of dash camera video into the public record. Those reports received national attention and also earned him a regional 1st Place Award for investigative journalism from the Society of Professional Journalists.

Dave holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Long Island University/Brooklyn Campus. He is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and has served as a national officer and board member. When he's not chasing down leads or filing reports, Dave enjoys visiting relatives in his native New York City and the Caribbean and cheering on his favorite team -- The New York Football Giants.
