ORLANDO, Fla. -- Orlando water parks will be closed this week as cold weather returns to the Central Florida area.

Universal Orlando has announced that Volcano Bay will be closed on Wednesday, December 5, due to the low temperatures. Universal didn't state when the water park would reopen, only that guests should call 407-817-8317 for updates. 

SeaWorld's Aquatica water park will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday. 

"We apologize for the inconvenience and can't wait to splash with you soon," it said in a Facebook post.

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon will also be closed Wednesday and Thursday.

The resort's other water park, Disney's Blizzard Beach, is currently closed for its annual refurbishment.

Temperatures are expected to reach the 60s on both days, with lows in the 50s.
