President Barack Obama is continuing his two-day bus tour today with a stop in Brevard County.

The president is scheduled to speak inside the Clemente Center at the Florida Institute of Technology around 11 a.m.

It's the first visit by the president to the Space Coast this election year.

The president is trying to capitalize on his space policy.

President Obama’s campaign said Gov. Mitt Romney has no plan for NASA.

Space Coast economic leaders have been concerned that Mitt Romney has yet to release a detailed space policy program.

Now, while voters in Brevard tend to sway towards the GOP, hundreds turned out for tickets on Friday to see the president.

They said they want to hear more about what the president has in store for the Space Coast.

This week, the president's campaign sent out a press release highlighting his accomplishments, including extending the life to the International Space Station, expanding commercial space flight, and the successful touchdown of the Mars Curiosity Rover.

Economists are still waiting to hear what Romney has planned.

"Specifics are what matters and you can have a space policy that can be very beneficial to Central Florida, and you can have a space policy that might not be so beneficial to Space Florida,” said Space Coast Economic Development Commission CEO and President Lynda Weatherman. “We're glad that there is a space policy in Republican platform. We need to hear more details about it."

Weatherman said the Romney campaign has just recently reached out to the EDC.

Romney’s campaign said that he will bring together top researchers and entrepreneurs to find clear goals for NASA.

Doors will open at 8:30 a.m.

Protestors are expected to be out in full force.
