A motorcyclist died Thursday after he was involved in a crash in Homosassa.
The crash happened at 11:14 p.m. Wednesday on U.S. 19 near West Miss Maggie Drive.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, David D. Volturno, 33, was riding south in the outside lane of U.S. 19 when a 2014 Chevy Impala pulled out of a parking lot and into his path.
Volturno swerved to avoid hitting the Impala, and in doing so, overturned his motorcycle. He was taken to Bayonet Point Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries the following day.
Charges are pending in this case, officials said.
