The votes have been counted the winner of this year's Bright House Senior Idol competition has been chosen.
Bay News 9’s Al Ruechel hosted the annual event and revealed the winner’s name.
Out of 12 finalists in the 9th annual Senior Idol at Ruth Eckard Hall, Daniel Helou took first place.
Helou won a $500 check and also got to donate $500 to the charities of his choice.
