The United States Gypsum Company has no plans to build a wallboard plant in Citrus County.
According to our partners at the Citrus County Chronicle, the county had approved permits for the company to move forward. The Southwest Florida Water Management District had approved the company's general water use permit.
However U.S Gypsum officials said the company doesn't need the plant right now. Officials said the company is keeping its options open for the future.
