A man died Friday night after deputies say he was shot by his girlfriend in Apopka.
The shooting happened at 8:30 p.m. Friday at a residence located at East 13th Street.
Deputies were responding to a domestic-related call at the residence. When deputies arrived, they found Sean Ware, 34, lying on the side of the road.
Ware was taken to Florida Hospital Apopka where he later died from his injuries.
Investigators say Ware was shot once by his girlfriend who was taken into custody and has cooperated with detectives and provided a statement.
She has not been arrested or charged.
The investigation continues.
