SPRING HILL, Fla.-- The wife of one of the victim's in the triple shooting on Thursday that spanned over Pasco and Hernando Counties shares the terrifying moments when she first learned his life was in danger.

Investigators said on Thursday afternoon, 59-year-old Theodore Parker first shot at and battered a woman in Hudson. Then, they said he shot and killed 57-year-old James Elswick in Spring Hill. Investigators said Parker knew both victims. From there, deputies said Parker went to a smoke shop in Spring Hill, robbed, and shot the owner, 35-year-old Richard Webb.

Webb then pulled out his own gun, shot, and killed Parker.

Webb's wife Corinne still can't believe it happened.

"Worst moment of my life. This is the hardest thing I've ever had to go through.. when you live your life right, for this to happen it's just like, why us ?" Corinne Webb said.

She was at home with the couple’s young daughter when the shooting happened.

"He calls me and says Corinne I got shot. And I'm like what ?! What are you talking about are you kidding and I could hear in his voice that he was so scared," Webb said.

At the couple’s smoke shop, bullet holes can still be seen on the walls from the exchange of gunfire. On the other side of the wall, is a day care that was filled with young children.

"Those kids were the first thing he thought about through everything all he could think about was God I hope everyone over there is okay," Webb said.

Theodore Parker died in the shooting and Richard Webb was rushed to the hospital. He’s now home recovering. Webb believes if her husband hadn’t stopped him, it could’ve been a lot worse.

"I have to believe he was put in the right place at the right time to stop somebody that was maybe going to hurt someone else," Webb said.

The Webb family has started a GoFundMe page to help with medical expenses and to help pay their employees who can’t work while the shop is closed.
