MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Authorities in Manatee County are investigating two shootings that happened Monday morning.

• In first shooting, 2 homes were hit by bullets
• In second shooting, man was hit in leg
• Anyone with information asked to call Sheriff's Office

Deputies said someone fired shots along 9th Avenue Drive East and that two homes were struck by bullets.

The suspected four-door, white vehicle fled the scene.

The second shooting happened along Cortez Road West.

A man told authorities he was walking down the street and heard men yelling at him from a vehicle. Shots were fired at him, and he was hit in the leg.

The victim told deputies the vehicle was a black Chrysler.

Anyone with information about either shooting is asked to call the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
