LAND O'LAKES, Fla. — Pasco County on Tuesday released 911 calls made to report an apparent murder-suicide involving a Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputy and his wife.

RELATED STORIES:

About midnight Monday, a call came to 911 dispatchers from someone who told them, "My mom is shot."

The caller is not identified, but earlier Tuesday the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said Samantha Keithley's 14-year-old son ran out of their house after hearing gunshots.

The caller tells the dispatcher he's running down the street to a friend's house. He said, "please help me."

He went on the tell the dispatcher that his stepdad and mom had been fighting and she went to a hotel and came back. He said he heard more arguing, heard a gunshot, and then found his mother gravely injured.

At that point he said he just ran out of the house as fast as he could.

Once he got to the friend's house, an adult man took over talking to dispatchers.

The dispatcher asked about the young man: "Is he okay?"

"He's alright," the man answers. "Physically, he's alright."

He also said the young man was pacing, and that other children could be seen out in front of the house where the shooting occurred.

Authorities say Keithley was fatally shot by her husband, Kirk Keithley, a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputy. He then turned the gun on himself.

No motive has been released yet.
