YBOR CITY, Fla. — The owners of the popular Ybor City Hamburger Mary's Bar and Grille location announced Tuesday evening that they would closing permanently at the end of the night.

The owners of both the Bar and Grille location and Hamburger Mary's Pub House, Kurt King and Brian DeChane, made the announcement on the venue's Facebook page.

It's unclear what the owners were referring to in terms of the "challenge" in recent weeks that forced them to close. They may be referring to fallout following the discovery on October 22 that a food service worker employed at the restaurant tested positive for Hepatitis A.

The October 25 announcement of the positive test by the Florida Department of Health of Hillsborough County led to over 600 vaccinations. No positive cases of Hepatitis A were linked to the Hamburger Mary's case, however.
