MYAKKA CITY, Fla. — Manatee Counties deputies were called to a scene late Wednesday after a man was found on fire in a rural area.

  • Victim identified as Antonio Bradley
  • Being investigated as a homicide

According to the sheriff's office, 35-year-old Antonio Bradley was found on fire on the west side of MJ Road in Myakka City by a witness just after 11 p.m. 

Fire rescue crews were summoned to the scene and extinguished the flames. 

Bradley was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Detectives are now investigating the death as a homicide. It is not known how the victim got to the location.

Officials say Bradley had been most recently staying in Bradenton, but has also lived in Sarasota County.
