SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. — The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is continuing to search for a missing boater.

Detectives were notified just after 12 p.m. on Tuesday, of a missing boater who last communicated with his family on Monday around 3 p.m.
Detectives said Todd Battaglino, 50, was last seen at the Royal Marina in Englewood early Monday evening. They say he is an avid boater who ofter goes offshore for recreational purposes.
After crews began searching on Tuesday, they found his boat approximately 15 miles offshore.
Sarasota County detectives, with help from FWC, the Coast Guard, and the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, continue to search for Battaglino.
