HOMOSASSA, Fla. — A Citrus County family is left displaced after a fire destroyed their mobile home this weekend.

The fire started just before 5 a.m. Sunday on South Sorrell Avenue in Homosassa.

Five Citrus County stations responded to the fire, official say, and it took about an hour to get the flames under control.

No one was injured, however, two of the family's dogs died in the fire.

Crews said the fire appeared to be accidental and the American Red Cross was called to assist the family.

The fire remains under investigation.
