In April, Spectrum Bay News 9 participated in the Bok Tower Earth Day Festival at Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales.
Students participated in hands-on activities at booths exhibited by environmental organizations from around central Florida.
Exhibitors may change year to year and have included themes such as recycling, protecting wildlife, water conservation, gardening, live animals, plant giveaways, and more!
As part of our Project Weather program, Spectrum Bay News 9 meteorologists Diane Kacmarik and Juli Marquez taught lightning safety to about 800 Polk County students.
