CLEARWATER, Fla. — The 2019 Hooters Clearwater Offshore Nationals kicks off Friday evening.

• 2019 Hooters Clearwater Offshore Nationals begin Friday night
• This year's boat race is called "Race World Offshore"
• The Boat Parade and Downtown Block Party will begin at 6:45 p.m.

The event presented by Visit St.Pete/Clearwater takes place September 27-29.

This weekend is packed with events centered around the main event which has a new name.

This year's boat race, Race World Offshore, takes place on Sunday. 

The Boat Parade and Downtown Block Party begins at 6:45 p.m. at Race Village in Coachmen Park. There will be beer trucks, contests, games and live music.
