ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A couple of broken lines of showers will move through from now through the overnight.  A cold front will follow. The last line will clear the Tampa Bay area before daybreak.

A Small Craft Advisory and a High Surf Advisory are in effect through Monday.  The risk of rip currents continues.

The last line of showers will move south through the late evening and overnight.  But without deep moisture, don’t expect significant rainfall.  But there may be a few brief heavier downpours, and the showers will be gusty.  By daybreak, the rain will move south with the cold front, and winds will be northwesterly. Morning lows will be in the mid-50s north to mid-60s around Tampa Bay.

Behind the front, winds will increase out of the northwest. Temperatures will drop through the afternoon on Monday.  High temperatures will hit in the morning to around midday.  The afternoon will be in the low 60s for Tampa to mid-50s for the Nature Coast.  It will be breezy. Skies will be mostly sunny inland to partly sunny near the coast.

Monday night may be the chilliest of the season so far. Tampa will get to the upper 40s, while the Nature Coast sees the upper 30s.

With north to northwest winds continuing on Tuesday, it will stay cool with highs only in the low 60s. Winds will lighten up.

Wednesday and Thursday will stay in the 60s for highs.

Below-normal temperatures will continue through the workweek.  Another front may arrive next weekend.
