TAMPA, Fla. — As we continue to hear more stories about racial injustices and inequities in the wake of George Floyd's death, leaders from some Bay area companies are speaking out, sharing their stories and talking about what their companies are doing to combat systemic racism.

Dr. B. Lee Green, Ph.D and vice-president of Moffitt Diversity, Public Relations and Strategic Communications, recently joined that group. In a widely circulated Facebook video, he spoke about his own encounters with racism.

As a black man in a leadership position, Green felt like he had to say something following the deaths of Floyd, Ahmad Arbery and others and the protests that have followed.

Watch the video above to see what he had to say both in the Facebook video and to us about the experience of sharing his story publicly.
