  • Fanny Paz and her 7-month-old son Matthew have fatigue and hair loss

  • Matthew also developed a rash all over his body

“My son and I both deal with fatigue,” Fanny Paz said. “It hits me when I walk sometimes and my son looks exhausted some days.”

Like more than 24-million Americans, Paz and her son Matthew were diagnosed with the coronavirus. Matthew was one month old when he got it.

“I was worried it would be severe because he was born prematurely” Paz said.

Six months after their recovery they’re still dealing with lingering effects.

“I believe I lost about four percent of my vision. Everything looks a little blurry now,” Paz said.

Matthew developed rashes all over his body. Paz said some become inflated and require draining.

They both dealt with hair loss. Paz believes her son overcame it but she’s still hasn’t.

“I brush my hair and some of it falls off not as much as before but it keeps happening, she said.”

Matthew gets a check-up every month to track his progress.

Paz said she’s relieved they’re not worse.

“I’m just glad so far we don’t have any serious conditions caused by COVID-19,” she said.
