As fastens the final button on his jacket, Michael Matson, prepares for his nightly routine.

“Indeed! Every night I have to put on this jacket," Matson explains as he pulls out a Victorian-era pocket watch.

Checking the time just as the clock hits 7 p.m., Matson places his bowler hat high atop his head — the last piece of his ensemble — in preparation to entertain and mystify his guests waiting just outside the doors of the Bradlee–McIntyre House.

“Before we proceed, it's important to note our close proximity to the Longwood Hotel, and like any good guests, it's always good to check in," Matson said, ringing a small bell to signify the start to his Longwood haunted history tours.

Starting on the front porch of one of Longwood's oldest homes, Matson shares the long history of the Bradlee-McIntyre House, which was first built in the mid-1880s.

The Bradlee-McIntyre House is known to be one of the most haunted spots in Central Florida, one reason Matson provides tours of the creepy, three-story historic home all October.

On his very unique tours, visitors get a blend of history, the supernatural and his skills as an amateur magician while making their way through each and every chilling Victorian room in the one-of-a-kind Halloween experience.

Matson's Longwood tours of the Bradlee-McIntyre House will run through Halloween weekend. Call ahead to book a tour. Historic tours of the home are offered year round, outside of Halloween.
