Levi Stock, 11, is taking it easy as recovers from the June 30 strike.

"It’s really just distracting me from the pain," Levi said of playing video games. "It's sore and cramped and stings."

"I feel like I’m getting better, so that’s good."

It happened in Riverview when the family saw storms and headed to the ramp after a day of fishing and boating.

Levi said he doesn’t remember the lightning bolt hitting him.

"We were having fun just fishing and swimming, and all I remember is swimming and jumping into the water," he said. "I’m glad that I don’t remember anything else," he said.

Levi's mother, Kristen Stock, helped fill in the blanks as to what happened to Levi when he got struck.

"A board, he just stiffened up went over and it knocked him into the water," said Stock.

The lighting strike singed Levi's hair and left behind bruising and scarring from his tailbone to his foot.

Levi's father, Derek Stock, immediately jumped in, pulled his son from the water, then performed CPR before first responders arrived minutes later and took the boy to the hospital.

"When we first saw him, he wasn’t responsive. He would do is cry out in pain," said Kristen Stock.

Levi spent three and a half days in ICU before heading home on the Fourth of July.

The lighting strike singed Levi's hair and left behind bruising and scarring from his tailbone to his foot.

"I’m still kinda shocked that I got struck by lightning," said Levi.

Levi’s mom says peace of prayer from the community and faith are helping her through.

"We’ve seen the goodness of God this last week working in Levi’s life, that we’re at this point a week and a half later. I couldn’t have asked for anything better," Kristen said.

Levi is fully recovering but will need to take it easy for the next six weeks.
