Admiral Farragut has some unfinished business on the football field this year.

The Blue Jackets finished one game shy of their first ever appearance in the 2A state championship.

Senior Wide Receiver Courtney Eubanks was part of that team and has some unfinished business of his own.

"I think I got a lot of work to do before I go to college but my senior year right now, I think I’ll do great".

Courtney may be the best wide receiver in the bay area that you’ve never heard of. He missed six games with a broken jaw last season, but when he came back, he quickly made up for lost time.

Courtney ran for 206 yards and two touchdowns, and returned an interception for another score, helping the Blue Jackets to a 41-14 win in the opening round of the playoffs.

It's no doubt a sign of things to come according to his position coach Craig watts.

"This upcoming season they’ll know about him, he’s a hard worker and he’s not really an attention seeker, but when the lights come on Friday night, you’ll definitely know who he is".

Courtney: When you got confidence, there’s nothing that can hold you back and when you let people hold you back  you feel weird inside but I don’t let anybody hold me back

In half a season the speedy Junior racked up over 600 yards, with 13 touchdowns and 5 interceptions, if he was flying under the college radar then, he won’t be now.

Courtney is an unselfish team player who does whatever it takes to make his team better, it's a quality that does not go unnoticed by his coaches.

"You would never know that he’s a superstar rated or under-rated or over-rated, you would never know that because he’s an even keel kid, says coach Watts.

Courtney has a lot to prove this year, both to himself and all of the college scouts who don't know him yet, but they soon will.
