ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Eta made landfall as a tropical storm near Cedar Key, Fla. at 4:20 a.m. and the worst weather has ended as the storm moves away from the Tampa area.

Eta's highest wind gusts topped 50 mph in some places. That's led to more than 20,000 customers without power across Florida, with many of those in Pinellas County.
