WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — Legoland Florida has set a new opening date for its upcoming attraction, Pirate River Quest.

What You Need To Know

  • Pirate River Quest gets a new opening date

  • The boat ride will open at Legoland Florida on Jan. 12 after being delayed

  • The attraction was originally set to open Nov. 2

The boat ride, originally set to open this month, will now debut at the Winter Haven theme park on Jan. 12.

Last month, Legoland pushed back the opening of the attraction to early 2023 because of high water levels in the waterways along the park.

On Pirate River Quest, riders will board captain-driven boats and embark on an adventure in search of Captain Redbeard’s lost treasure. As they make their way through the passageways of Lake Eloise and Cypress Gardens, they’ll encounter a rowdy pirate crew, mischievous monkeys and even a kraken.

The opening of Pirate River Quest will come just ahead of Pirate Fest Weekends, which begins Jan. 21. The event, which will run for five consecutive weekends, will feature character meet-and-greets, Lego builds, entertainment and specialty food.
