The 105-foot-tall pendulum-style swing ride will officially open to the public on Feb. 27, the theme park announced Wednesday. Park officials say pass members will be among the first to experience the attraction during a special preview on Feb. 24.

Serengeti Flyer, described as the tallest and fastest ride of its kind, will have twin dueling arms that swing riders back and forth at speeds up to 68 mph, while rising to a height of 135 feet at its peak.

Riders will be loaded into gondolas featuring two back-to-back seating and experience multiple negative g-force moments as they swing toward the ground. The ride will have a 48-inch height requirement.

Serengeti Flyer is located in the Nairobi section of the park, not far from the former Rhino Rally area. It's the latest attraction to be added to Busch Gardens’ lineup.

In March, Busch Gardens opened the hybrid wood and steel Iron Gwazi coaster, which quickly became a fan-favorite.
