TAMPA, Fla. — For Christmas, Jaxson and Jase Taylor of Tampa knew what their wish for Santa was going to be: they wanted their dad to be home for Christmas.

Turned out Santa delivered for them, and he didn't wait until Christmas Eve. 

The boys' father, U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer First Class BM1 Caleb Taylor, had been gone for the last eight months on deployment.

When Jaxson and Jase got to the Westfield Citrus Park Mall in Tampa with their mom and got their chance to talk to Santa, they hopped right in his lap and told him their wish, plain and simple.

"For my dad to come home for Christmas," Jaxon said.

Santa, in response, didn't miss a beat.

"You are one of the bright lads," he said. "You want the whole package."
