ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A few sprinkles will continue through the early morning hours with patchy fog, especially across Polk County.

Lows will drop only to the low 60s north, while the Tampa Bay area stays in the mid to upper 60s.

Above-normal temperatures continue for Saturday. Highs will be in the upper 70s. Again the morning looks drier. Scattered showers will move from the Atlantic Coast across to our side of Florida, mainly in the afternoon. It will be breezy with east then southeast winds.

High temperatures will stay in the 70s to around 80 on Sunday. A few showers will be possible, mainly during the afternoon. Breezy winds become southerly, so the humidity will increase.

The next front will move in on Monday. Some showers will be possible ahead of the front. Winds will become northwesterly by later in the day. 

Rain chances will drop off starting Tuesday. Winds will be out of the north and dew points will drop.  Lows will be near 50 north to upper 50s in Tampa in the morning. Highs will only be near 70. Skies will be mostly sunny.

New Year’s Eve will be cooler. Late evening temperatures will be in the upper 50s.

New Year’s Day will be cool with low humidity and light north winds. High temperatures will be below normal, staying in the 60s.  It will be mostly sunny.

Another front is likely sometime over the following weekend.
