ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — An active springtime pattern setting up for our area with breezy conditions has led to unseasonably warm and humid conditions.

A sluggish front over northern Florida will remain to our north, therefore a warm a humid night is ahead.

Showers and storms may develop overnight into early Tuesday morning. Our northern counties, especially Citrus County, has the best chance for seeing a shower or storm.

The rain chance decreases further south. Otherwise, expect a muggy and warm start with temperatures in the mid-70s.

The warmth and humidity will stick around Tuesday with temperatures reaching the upper 80s to low 90s once again. It will be hot east of I-75 where temperatures may climb into the mid-90s. There will be a few showers around, especially north. Expect breezy conditions to continue through the afternoon.

The front will finally move in late Wednesday and Thursday. This will knock down our temperatures, especially for our northern counties.

The front will also increase our rain chances Wednesday and Thursday to 30%. Temperatures will be cooler with highs in the low to mid 80s. It will still be breezy during this period.

The weekend is looking a bit unsettled too with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will be a tad warm with highs in the mid-80s and breezy.
