ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Friday will be one of the coolest mornings you see in our area for May.

A very rare blast of cool air will take our morning low temperatures down into the 40s and 50s. .

What You Need To Know

With the sun angle this time of year, our afternoon highs will rebound into the low 80's.

Saturday will be partly cloudy with a 10 percent chance of a shower.  Overall, it will still be a nice day.

Sunday, on the other hand, is looking rather cloudy with passing rain showers. We currently have the rain coverage at 50 percent with the best coverage from the I-4 corridor south.  Highs will be in the 70's.

An early look at next week reveals a much more typical May pattern of warm afternoons in the 80's and mainly dry conditions.
