ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — We're in store for another fantastic afternoon and evening, with lot of sun and low humidity continuing into the evening hours. It will be very comfortable with temperatures falling back through the 70's.

What You Need To Know

Tonight will not be as cool as Friday morning. Temperatures will fall back into the 60's to near 70 for Tampa. Skies will remain clear through the night.

Saturday looks to be another nice day with highs in the mid 80's. There will be more clouds and even a chance of a passing shower, especially for our northern counties.

Our rain chance increases for Sunday as a storm develops in the Gulf of Mexico and passes over Florida, bringing numerous showers to the state.

Right now, the heaviest rain is projected to land south of our area and the rain chance decreases as you travel north. Rain chance on Sunday will range from near 30 percent for Citrus County to 60 percent for Manatee County.

Therefore, areas along and south of I-4 will have the best chance for rain.

Mother’s Day will be cooler due to all the clouds, with highs in the upper 70s to 80 degrees.

The rain moves out by Monday morning and we start the week off nice and dry.
