Subtropical Depression 4 has been upgraded to Tropical Storm Dolly at 12:15 pm.

Dolly is over colder waters off of the coast of New England and should not last as a tropical system very long.  It will move over cold water soon.

Dolly will have no impact on U.S. weather.

Dolly is the third earliest fourth Atlantic named storm on record dating back to 1851.  Danielle is the earliest in 2016, Debby (which hit our area) is the second earliest in 2012.

The next name on the list is Edouard.
