ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — As the 2023-2024 school year approaches, the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) will be offering students, teachers and staff free rides on all PSTA buses every day, the company announced Tuesday.

“PSTA has several public transit routes and bus stops convenient to schools throughout the county,” said Brad Miller, Chief Executive Officer of PSTA in a statement. “All Pinellas County students and staff will be able to ride for free, any time, on all routes so they can access jobs, after-school activities, or even the beach.”

In order to receive free rides, Pinellas County students, teachers and staff will have to show their school ID to the bus driver.

The first day of school for Pinellas County is Aug. 10.
