The United States Supreme Court intends to overturn Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 case that guaranteed the right to an abortion nationwide, according to a leaked draft opinion obtained and published by POLITICO on Monday.
Stetson law professor Louis Virelli joined Spectrum News on Tuesday to discuss the leaked draft opinion.
The high court on Tuesday confirmed that the draft is authentic, but said it does not represent a decision by the court nor the final position of any of its members.
During our interview, Virelli talked about the U.S. Constitution vs. the Florida State Constitution, the possible impact in Florida if abortion protections are removed and the nature of the leak.
