ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The wet onshore wind flow pattern will finally go away this weekend. We will still have storms, but they will not be as long lasting as they have been.

A few showers or a storm are possible from now through the overnight hours. Lows will be in the low 70s for Saturday morning.

Saturday will feature a mix of sun and clouds for the first half of the day, with just a few isolated showers or storms in the Gulf of Mexico or near the coast.

The sea breeze will slowly build in from the coast, triggering scattered storms that develop first in coastal sections and then move eastward and inland as the afternoon goes along. Highs will be back up around 90 degrees.

The storms will die down Saturday evening, then skies will be partly cloudy overnight with lows in the mid 70s.

Sunday will be mostly sunny at the start, followed by some scattered storms in the afternoon. Highs will be back up in the low to mid 90s.

Next week is looking like a very normal mid-summer Florida week, with mainly afternoon scattered storms in the picture each day, but no single day jumps out as a washout or as dry.

With the very light wind flow pattern, there is a small chance of an overnight to morning shower or storm. Skies will go from sunny each morning to partly cloudy each afternoon.

Highs will be in the low 90s each day with lows near the mid 70s each night.
