TAMPA, Fla. — Tampa Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown on Thursday.

According to officials, the 34-year-old is wanted for battery after a verbal altercation at a home in south Tampa on Nov. 28. The warrant states that the incident became physical when the suspect threw a shoe at the victim.

Officials also said in the warrant that the suspect attempted to evict the victim from the residence and locked her out of the home.

Brown was released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Jan. 6 after he jogged off the field against the New York Jets last season, displaying erratic behavior, including throwing his shirt and gloves into the stands. He has not played for another team since.

Brown played 12 seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots and the Buccaneers.

He had 915 catches for 12,164 yards and scored 88 touchdowns and helped the Bucs win the 2020 Super Bowl over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Police are still searching for Brown's whereabouts.
